Instructional Faculty - Kinesiology
Employment Status: Full-time, Assistant Professor
Area of Specialization: Exercise Physiology
The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a tenure-track position in exercise physiology and a background in one or more of the following areas: clinical exercise science, electrocardiography, nutrition, biochemistry, and/or hemodynamics at the assistant professor level, effective September 2017.
California State University, San Bernardino is a comprehensive regional university that serves approximately 20,000 students and offers 48 undergraduate, 34 graduate, one doctoral degree program and 13 academic programs with national accreditation. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Kinesiology major. Additionally, the candidate may teach some activity courses. Scholarly activities are expected. An ability to develop a profile of extramural funding is desirable. The candidate also will advise students and serve on department, college and university committees.
Earned degrees in Kinesiology/Exercise Science/Physical Education or a human movement related area are required. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree. ABD candidates are considered, but the terminal degree is expected to be completed by time of appointment (Fall 2017). We strongly encourage members of underrepresented groups to apply.
